Coega Harbour, South Africa

COSL DRILLING EUROPE

VIEW PROJECTS

Scope

KEA Projects delivered fabrication, structural and mechanical
installation for the COSL Prospector during a port stay in Coega
Harbour, including IWOCS HPU installation, SSTT assembly, moonpool
modifications, drill floor piping, bucking unit and control console
installation, as well as wireline foundation modifications.

Outcome

Pre-fabrication was completed at KEA’s Cape Town facilities, followed
by offshore installation onboard in just eight days. The project was
delivered safely, on time and within budget, with no harm to personnel,
equipment or the environment.

Scope

550 Tons Fabrication and installation of HOP, DMA and lifting Equipment

Outcome

Fabrication and integration of a 260 tonne hang off platform and 200 tonne dead man anchor including rope access installation works and NDT inspection.

Large scale fabrication was completed at KEA’s Saldanha Bay facility
before integration during a three month port stay in Cape Town.

Full reactivation program including hull painting, power plant upgrades, piping modifications and mechanical overhaul.
